I scared the old ladies...
at the craft show this week, with my jewelry (which I thought was just pretty). They either wanted me to put a pin on the back so it could be a brooch - or could NOT understand that, yes, indeed - these go INSIDE of a hole in the body.
More than a handful of women literally turned and walked away from me. Turned on a dime!

Come on 10,000
About to fly to Baltimore for my first craft show, and just about to hit 10,000 visitors to the website. Looking like a good start.

So many failures this week
I really can’t rush, or I just smash shit into oblivion after spending hours at work on it. Stupid-head.
Guess I’ll just try again tomorrow…

RITUAL CRAFT (a digital exhibition)
“The fundamental mistake is the confusion of the physical product
with the esthetic object, which is that which is perceived… He does
not want the object for the sake of something else.”
- John Dewey, 1934
I want to share powerful experiences, to communicate emotional states inexpressible through words. It means disavowing representation, and embracing the direct...

Stretch Fail
The hardest part about stretching is patience. Thought I’d made it up from 3/4” to 7/8” all right, only to discover a bizarre exploded effect upon taking out the jewelry after a few days. Did I seriously blowout? Fail, Ryan… Fail.
Someday I’ll find the right pace. Now I’ve got to back off and heal up a bit.
Good job, ya damn fool.

Not to sound defensive...
I realize some people might wince at the pricing - but to be perfectly honest, we do our best to offer jewelry that you won’t find anywhere else, and are very careful not to be arrogant in what we ask for as compensation. Clearly our collections are an investment, much like the investment we put into modifying our bodies. There’s plenty of acrylic on the market that’ll do you...

Modified.: Modified friends in/near Savannah, GA!! →
Hey Georgians - Help mah friend!
hellamodified:
I’m looking for visibly and/or heavily modified individuals to photograph for my large format class this quarter. I would prefer to shoot portraits in your bedroom, but the location is negotiable as long as it is somewhere you frequent. I really don’t care what kinds of mods you have as long as they are visible, but here are some things I would...

Look both ways before crossing the street
otherwise I’ll hit you with my car. and that’s not fun for anyone. (In other words, I’m sorry for hitting you)
outofthetiles asked: How much would you charge for a pair of sunrise? In 29mm because... I might die if I don't have those. I probably can't afford them but.... I don't think I've loved a plug more in my entire life and I'm not even.... gimme.
